Google has officially announced its new Pixel 10a model, aiming to strengthen its position in the mid-range smartphone market.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the device has garnered significant user interest due to both its technical specifications and visual enhancements.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.3-inch pOLED display featuring a resolution of 2424×1080 pixels. The screen supports a variable refresh rate ranging from 60 to 120 Hz and offers a peak brightness of 2000 nits. Gorilla Glass 7i has been utilized for panel protection.
Key technical specifications of the device:
- Processor: Google Tensor G4 chipset;
- Memory: 8 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128/256 GB internal storage (UFS 3.1);
- Battery: 5100 mAh capacity battery, supporting 45W wired charging and Qi-standard wireless charging;
- Operating System: Android 16.
Significant changes have been implemented in the camera module. The primary camera features a 48-megapixel sensor, complemented by a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens. For selfie enthusiasts, a 13-megapixel front camera is provided. The primary visual distinction of the Pixel 10a from previous generations is its completely flat camera panel that does not protrude from the body.
The new model is also equipped with the modern Exynos 5400 modem, similar to the Pixel 10 Pro. The retail price of the smartphone has been set at $499. Pre-orders for the device, which comes in four different colors, will begin on February 18, with official sales scheduled to start on March 11.
The launch of the Pixel 10a represents Google's ongoing strategy to integrate its proprietary Tensor chip technology into more affordable hardware, bringing high-end AI capabilities to a broader consumer base. As the global smartphone market sees increasing competition in the mid-tier segment, Google's focus on software optimization and long-term update support remains a key differentiator for the Pixel lineup in international markets, including Azerbaijan.
