Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his French counterpart have held a telephone conversation to discuss critical regional developments.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the two officials reviewed the implementation of the Islamabad agreement. The discussion also covered efforts to ensure regional peace and stability, as well as measures to halt conflicts allegedly instigated by the US and Israel.

This diplomatic engagement follows a series of intensive contacts conducted by Abbas Araghchi in recent days. The Iranian Foreign Minister has held similar discussions with his counterparts from Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Araghchi visited Baghdad on Sunday, where he proposed the establishment of a collective security mechanism for the Persian Gulf region.

The Islamabad agreement, often referenced in regional diplomatic discourse, serves as a framework for bilateral or multilateral cooperation aimed at addressing security concerns and fostering economic ties between participating nations. While specific details regarding the latest conversation between the Iranian and French foreign ministers remain limited, the dialogue underscores ongoing efforts to manage regional tensions through diplomatic channels.
