Fransada anomal istilər can alır: Ölüm hallarında kəskin artım qeydə alınıb

France is grappling with a significant rise in mortality rates following a series of extreme heatwaves that have swept across the country throughout June. The prolonged high temperatures have placed immense strain on public health and infrastructure.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, French Health Minister Stephanie Rist stated that between June 22 and June 28, the number of deaths recorded in the country was 2,025 higher than the historical average for the same period. The ministry's statistics indicate a 30 percent increase in mortality during that week compared to the previous one. Previously, the Health Ministry had reported approximately 1,000 deaths linked to the heatwave between June 24 and 28.

The anomalous heat, which persisted for nearly two weeks in June, has disrupted various sectors, including transportation, education, healthcare, and industry. The situation was particularly severe in Paris, where officials reported 109 heat-related deaths on June 26 alone. Meteorologists are now forecasting a new wave of extreme heat for the coming week, prompting authorities to urge the public to exercise caution and strengthen preventative measures.

Heatwaves in Europe have become increasingly frequent and intense in recent years, a trend climate scientists attribute to global climate change. These events often disproportionately affect the elderly and vulnerable populations, leading to significant public health challenges for European governments as they adapt to rising summer temperatures.
