Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to discuss the situation regarding the violation of Turkish airspace.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that "Haber Global" released this information, citing sources within the ministry.
During the phone call, Hakan Fidan stated that the violation of Turkish airspace is unacceptable. He emphasized that Turkey will continue to take all necessary measures against such incidents and urged all parties to refrain from steps that could harm regional security or pose risks to civilians.
Abbas Araghchi, in turn, claimed that the missiles directed toward Turkish airspace were not of Iranian origin and noted that a large-scale investigation would be conducted regarding the matter.
The diplomatic exchange comes amid heightened regional tensions and increased military activity in the Middle East. Ensuring the integrity of national borders and airspace remains a priority for regional powers to prevent unintended escalations. Turkey and Iran, as neighboring states, maintain regular communication channels to address security concerns and border management issues to preserve stability in the region.
