On July 28, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Press Service of the President of Azerbaijan released an official statement regarding the call.

During the conversation, the two leaders reviewed current issues on the bilateral and international agenda. They emphasized the constructive nature of Azerbaijan-Russia relations, noting that active dialogue is being maintained through government channels and relevant state structures. Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further expanding their multifaceted cooperation.

Azerbaijan and Russia maintain a strategic partnership characterized by high-level political dialogue and significant economic collaboration. These regular high-level contacts serve as a key mechanism for coordinating efforts on regional security, energy projects, and trade, reflecting the ongoing development of bilateral ties between Baku and Moscow.
