Prime Minister Ali Asadov held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Cairo, focusing on strengthening international cooperation and urban development.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers, that the Prime Minister met with King Mswati III of Eswatini, President of the Republic of Mauritius Prithvirajsing Roopun, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, and Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov. Discussions also took place with the Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Constantino Chiwenga, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Tomáš Taraba.

The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. These high-level meetings in Cairo serve as a platform for Azerbaijan to showcase its ongoing restoration and reconstruction projects in the liberated territories, including Garabagh and East Zangazur, while fostering economic and diplomatic ties with participating nations. The discussions highlighted Azerbaijan's commitment to implementing the New Urban Agenda and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through international partnership.
