Over the past 24 hours, 120 combat engagements have occurred between Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops, despite a declared temporary truce. As of the morning of April 12, a total of 2,299 ceasefire violations have been recorded across the front lines.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released this data via its official social media channels. According to the report, 1,723 violations were documented between 16:00 local time on April 11 (17:00 Baku time) and the end of that day. The Russian military reportedly carried out 25 attacks, 365 shelling incidents, 566 strikes using Lancet and Molniya drones, and 767 FPV drone strikes during this period. However, no strikes involving missiles, guided bombs, or Shahed-type UAVs were recorded.

By 07:00 local time on April 12 (08:00 Baku time), the number of violations rose to 2,299, including 28 Russian attacks and 1,045 FPV drone strikes. Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously announced a temporary ceasefire in observance of the Easter holiday, intended to remain in effect from the afternoon of April 11 through the end of April 12. This latest escalation highlights the continued volatility of the conflict despite diplomatic or religious gestures toward temporary de-escalation.

The ongoing war in Ukraine remains a focal point of global security concerns, impacting international energy markets and regional stability. Azerbaijan has consistently maintained its position on the importance of territorial integrity and international law in resolving such conflicts. Since the start of the full-scale hostilities, various international mediators have attempted to broker humanitarian corridors and temporary truces, though sustained peace remains elusive as both sides continue intensive operations along the contact line.
