Jeyhun Bayramov meets with Mikhail Galuzin in Baku

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has received Mikhail Galuzin, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, to discuss the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM. During the meeting, the sides discussed the political, economic-commercial, and humanitarian aspects of Azerbaijan–Russia relations, as well as regional and international security issues of mutual interest. Both officials emphasized the importance of reciprocal visits and continued contacts in advancing the cooperation agenda.

The parties highlighted the significant role of the Intergovernmental State Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in developing bilateral economic ties. Discussions were held regarding the work carried out within this mechanism and potential future directions for growth. Furthermore, the meeting included an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest and a review of future cooperation prospects.

This meeting takes place within the framework of the Declaration on Allied Interaction signed between Azerbaijan and Russia in 2022, which aims to deepen strategic partnership across various sectors. Azerbaijan continues to pursue a balanced foreign policy, prioritizing regional stability and economic integration in the South Caucasus. The strengthening of ties between Baku and Moscow remains a key component of the regional security architecture and cross-border logistics projects, including the North-South International Transport Corridor.
