The traffic police are actively working to mitigate the difficulties caused by continuous rainfall across the country, ensuring the safety and fluidity of movement on major transport arteries.
The Main State Traffic Police Department informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that the persistent rain has created several challenges on motorways, particularly on the streets and avenues of the capital. In coordination with relevant government agencies, employees of the State Traffic Police (DYP) are working to regulate traffic flow and eliminate the consequences of the inclement weather. This includes removing disabled vehicles from the roadways and providing direct assistance to pedestrians to ensure they cross streets safely.
To maintain intensive traffic movement on roads of national importance, personnel from the YPX Regiment are currently performing continuous service. The Main State Traffic Police Department, noting that current weather conditions are unfavorable for road users, has once again urged participants to strictly follow safety regulations. Drivers are specifically cautioned to take precautionary measures due to slippery road surfaces, limited visibility, and other critical weather-related factors prevalent in Azerbaijan.
Seasonal rainfall in Azerbaijan often necessitates heightened mobilization of public services to prevent congestion in urban centers like Baku. The Main State Traffic Police Department regularly issues such advisories to reduce the risk of traffic accidents during autumn and winter months. These efforts are part of a broader state strategy to enhance road safety infrastructure and emergency response capabilities across the Republic of Azerbaijan.
