US President Donald Trump has stated his firm opposition to Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Tehran regarding its nuclear program.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the US President shared these remarks during an interview on the "Pod Force One" program.
President Trump added that the ongoing discussions with the Iranian leadership are progressing in a positive direction. He further noted that the possibility of a future meeting with Iranian officials remains on the table, signaling a potential shift in the long-standing diplomatic impasse between the two nations.
The nuclear program has been a central point of contention in US-Iran relations for decades, characterized by periods of intense sanctions and diplomatic friction. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), originally signed in 2015, has faced significant challenges, and this new development marks a critical juncture in international efforts to curb nuclear proliferation in the Middle East.
