The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a sharp response to allegations made by the United States regarding Beijing's nuclear policy, accusing Washington of misrepresenting facts to maintain its own strategic dominance.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that Washington is distorting reality in an attempt to establish nuclear hegemony. The diplomat emphasized that this position is not new and represents a deliberate act of political manipulation by the U.S. administration under US President Donald Trump.

The spokesperson noted that such statements, which have been widely circulated across international platforms, are seen as an attempt by the U.S. to evade its own obligations in the field of nuclear disarmament. The MFA of China further emphasized that Washington's actions remain the primary obstacle to the formation of an international nuclear order and the insurance of global strategic stability.

This diplomatic friction follows earlier allegations by U.S. officials, including former Deputy Assistant Secretary Thomas DiNanno, who accused China of conducting low-yield secret nuclear tests. One such incident was alleged to have occurred on June 22, 2020. Beijing has consistently denied these claims, maintaining that it adheres to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and remains committed to a "no first use" nuclear doctrine.

The exchange highlights the growing tension between the world's two largest economies regarding strategic arms control. As US President Donald Trump continues to shape American foreign policy in 2025, the rhetoric surrounding nuclear capabilities and international treaties remains a focal point of geopolitical competition in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
