Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, held a telephone conversation on March 12.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan released a statement regarding the discussion.
According to the MFA, the ministers discussed the current regional security situation, the increasing military escalation in the Middle East, as well as various issues of bilateral cooperation. Both sides highly appreciated the existing strategic partnership and reviewed plans for future high-level contacts and diplomatic exchanges. The parties also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
Azerbaijan and Pakistan maintain a deep-rooted strategic partnership characterized by strong political, economic, and defense ties. Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan's independence and has consistently supported Azerbaijan's territorial integrity on the international stage. This high-level dialogue reflects the commitment of both Baku and Islamabad to coordinate their efforts in addressing global security challenges and fostering stability in their respective regions.
