Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held discussions regarding the current state of Azerbaijan-Switzerland relations, Switzerland's chairmanship of the OSCE, and the ongoing normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made these remarks during a press briefing in Baku following his meeting with Ignazio Cassis, the Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, who also serves as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
The minister highlighted that the meeting placed special emphasis on the development of bilateral ties. "We underscored the importance of maintaining continuous political consultations between the two countries," the minister noted.
The OSCE, as a regional security organization, has historically played a role in facilitating dialogue in the South Caucasus. Azerbaijan continues to engage with international partners to ensure long-term regional stability, emphasizing the necessity of a peace treaty based on international law and the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity following the restoration of its control over the Garabagh region.
