Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi in Bishkek.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan announced the meeting via its official account on the X social media platform.
The discussions focused on the current state and future development prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as the expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The ministers also exchanged views on significant regional issues.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining regular high-level dialogue and advancing mutually beneficial projects between the two nations. Such diplomatic engagements are a cornerstone of regional stability, as Azerbaijan and Iran share a significant border and historical ties, necessitating ongoing communication to address shared economic and security interests in the South Caucasus region.
