President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has extended his congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev on being awarded the "Guernica Prize for Peace and Reconciliation."
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the UAE President's message was delivered by Saeed bin Mubarak Al-Hajri, a high-ranking official of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. Expressing his gratitude for the congratulations, President Ilham Aliyev recalled his own receipt of the "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity," which honors the humanitarian legacy of the late UAE founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and requested that his appreciation be conveyed back to the UAE leadership.
The Guernica Prize for Peace and Reconciliation is an international accolade that recognizes individuals or institutions for their outstanding contributions to peace, conflict resolution, and the promotion of human rights. The exchange of such high-level recognitions underscores the growing diplomatic and humanitarian ties between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates. Relations between the two nations have strengthened significantly in recent years, spanning cooperation in renewable energy, trade, and international peace initiatives, reflecting a shared commitment to global stability and human fraternity.
