Electricity supply will be temporarily suspended in parts of Baku and Mingachevir today due to scheduled maintenance and infrastructure upgrades, according to the Operative Information Center-OMM.
Citing information from Azerishig OJSC, the Operative Information Center-OMM reported that the maintenance work is part of ongoing efforts to improve the quality of electricity distribution and meet the increasing demand for power across the country. These essential upgrades are scheduled for August 7.
In Baku, power supply restrictions will be implemented in the service area of the Khatai District Energy Supply and Sales Department (RETSİ). Specifically, residents on Abbas Sahhat, Ashig Gurban, Marat Amirxanov, Iskandar Aznaurov, Rashid Bagirov, Zakir Yusifov, and parts of Oqtay Valiyev streets will experience outages from 09:00 to 17:00. Additionally, in the Narimanov RETSİ service area, power will be interrupted from 09:00 to 13:00 on Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli, Maqsud Alizada, and Khan Shushinski streets, as well as the residential area at the intersection of Koroglu Rahimov and Ashig Ali streets. A planned outage will also affect parts of Ilgar Ahlimanov street in the Hovsan settlement of the Surakhani district from 10:00 to 13:00.
In Mingachevir, the local Electric Network (EŞ) will conduct maintenance and pruning work on several 6 kV overhead lines. Consequently, power supply will be restricted on certain streets from 09:00 to 13:00.
Azerishig OJSC stated that once these technical works are completed, subscribers in the affected areas will benefit from more stable and high-quality electricity service. Such infrastructure improvements are part of a broader national strategy in Azerbaijan to modernize the energy grid and ensure long-term reliability for both residential and industrial consumers.
