Baku Metro has announced adjustments to its operational schedule today in connection with the UEFA Europa League match featuring Qarabag Football Club.
The information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Baku Metro Closed Joint-Stock Company.
According to the statement, the Ganjlik station will operate under an enhanced work regime to accommodate the influx of spectators attending the match. Officials noted that if passenger density exceeds capacity, reserve trains will be deployed to the lines to ensure efficient transport. Additionally, auxiliary personnel will be on duty, and precautionary measures will be implemented at the Narimanov and 28 May stations to manage passenger flow effectively.
Qarabag FK, based in Aghdam, is Azerbaijan's most successful football club in European competitions. The club frequently hosts high-profile international matches at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, located near the Ganjlik metro station, which serves as a primary transit hub for fans attending these major sporting events in the capital.
