Bakı metrosu bayramda necə işləyəcək? - İntervallar açıqlandı

Baku Metro CJSC is transitioning to an enhanced work mode in connection with the upcoming Novruz and Ramadan holidays in Azerbaijan.

The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the joint-stock company that reserve trains will be kept on standby to be deployed to the lines if necessary during the holiday period. This measure aims to ensure the seamless transportation of the increased passenger flow expected during the festivities.

According to the official statement, changes will be made to the train intervals across the Baku Metro network. On the "28 May-Ahmedli" section, the movement intervals will be as follows:

  • March 20-21, 25-28, and 30: 2.5 minutes
  • March 22-24 and 29: Up to 3 minutes

For other sections between March 20-31, the intervals will be organized as follows:

  • "Hazi Aslanov-Ahmedli" direction: 7 minutes
  • "Avtovagzal-8 November" direction: 7 minutes
  • "Avtovagzal-Khojasan" direction: 14 minutes

It was also emphasized that security measures will be strengthened to ensure passenger safety throughout the holiday season. Baku Metro, which began operations in 1967, serves as the primary rapid transit system in the capital of Azerbaijan, currently consisting of three lines and 27 stations. The Novruz holiday, marking the arrival of spring, and Ramadan are among the most significant public holidays in Azerbaijan, typically resulting in high public mobility and increased demand for public transport services.
