During an inspection at the "Hayal Kahvesi" entertainment club operating within the Seaside National Park in Baku, authorities discovered significant violations of technical and legal regulatory requirements.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AQTA) that the inspection revealed various expired food products, including mustard, molasses, sauces, syrups, noodles, and yeast. Additionally, inspectors found cheese products that lacked proper labeling and mandatory accompanying documentation required by national legislation.
The inspection further identified poor sanitary conditions at the facility. It was determined that regular cleaning was not being conducted, refrigerator shelves were corroded, and storage area shelving was not made of washable or hygienic materials. In response to these findings, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the management of the establishment, and the unsafe food products were withdrawn from circulation and destroyed.
The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to conduct regular monitoring across the country to ensure compliance with health standards and to protect consumer rights. These measures are part of Azerbaijan's broader strategy to align its food safety regulations with international standards, ensuring that all public catering facilities in Baku and other regions maintain high levels of hygiene and product quality.
