Presidential elections have been held at Fenerbahce.
As reported by Operative Information Center-OMM, the outcome of the Istanbul club's extraordinary elections has been determined today.
Aziz Yildirim and Hakan Safi competed in the elections. Club members voted to elect the individual who will lead Fenerbahce for at least the next year. Yildirim secured victory with a clear majority, marking his return as the club's president.
It should be noted that Aziz Yildirim previously served as the president of Fenerbahce from 1998 to 2018, a period during which the club experienced significant infrastructure development and sporting success. He had previously contested the 2024 elections, where he was defeated by Ali Koc.
Fenerbahce, founded in 1907, is one of the most successful and popular sports clubs in Turkey, with a massive fan base and a long history of competition in the Turkish Super Lig. The return of Yildirim, a veteran figure in Turkish football administration, is expected to signal a new strategic direction for the club's management.
