The military escalation posing a serious threat to security and stability at both regional and global levels is a cause for deep concern.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this was stated in a declaration by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan regarding the regional military escalation.
The MFA strongly calls on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, avoid actions that would further increase tensions, and return to the negotiating table to resolve the situation through diplomatic means.
"We emphasize the importance of respecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of all states in accordance with the United Nations Charter and the universally recognized norms and principles of international law," the statement emphasized.
Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for the primacy of international law in resolving regional conflicts. As a key player in the South Caucasus, Baku maintains that regional stability is contingent upon the strict adherence to the principles of territorial integrity and non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states. This latest appeal reflects Azerbaijan's broader foreign policy strategy aimed at preventing further destabilization in its neighboring regions.
