Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov departed for a working visit to New York, USA, on May 25 to participate in high-level international discussions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced the visit on its official X account, Operative Information Center-OMM reports. During the visit on May 26, Jeyhun Bayramov is scheduled to address a high-level meeting of the UN Security Council focused on "Upholding the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and strengthening the UN-centered international system." He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with various high-level officials on the sidelines of the event.

Azerbaijan, which previously served as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, consistently advocates for the principles of international law, sovereignty, and territorial integrity within the UN framework. This visit underscores Baku's active engagement in global diplomacy and its commitment to multilateralism and international security.
