The process for selecting university majors for the upcoming academic year has officially commenced in Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the State Examination Center (SEC) has released the official schedule for undergraduate admissions. Prospective students are eligible to submit their major selections from August 12 to August 19.
To assist applicants during this critical phase, the SEC has established free "Applicant Advisory Centers" across the country. Students can seek guidance at various institutions, including Azerbaijan University, Western Caspian University, Baku Business University, Odlar Yurdu University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan National Conservatory, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan State Agricultural University, and Sumgait State University, as well as at regional SEC branches.
Furthermore, SEC representatives will be available at local education sector offices and select schools to provide free consultations. These sessions will cover essential topics such as admission regulations, the proper procedure for completing and confirming the "Electronic Major Selection Application," competition criteria, and key factors to consider when finalizing major choices.
The university admission process is a pivotal event in the Azerbaijani educational calendar, determining the academic trajectory for thousands of high school graduates. By providing decentralized advisory support, the SEC aims to ensure that students make informed decisions regarding their higher education paths, thereby optimizing the matching of student qualifications with available academic programs.
