The AFFA Disciplinary Committee has fined four clubs a total of 2,800 manats after their players exceeded the yellow-card limit during matches in the fourth round of the Misli Premier League.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the decision was adopted at the committee’s meeting.
In the Kəpəz–Shamakhi match held on September 4, six players from the Ganja-based side and four from the visiting team received yellow cards. As a result, both clubs were fined 700 manats.
A similar incident occurred in the Turan Tovuz–Sumgait match on September 6. The hosts received five yellow cards, while six Sumgait players were booked, leading to a 700-manat fine for each club.
Under the competition’s disciplinary rules, clubs may be fined when the number of cautioned players in a match exceeds the established limit. Such measures are intended to promote discipline and fair play in Azerbaijan’s top-flight football championship.
