Istanbul Airport has been recognized as the top-performing airport in Europe regarding flight punctuality, according to recent industry data.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) released its "First Wave" report for June, detailing key performance indicators in the civil aviation sector.
According to the data, IGA Istanbul Airport secured the top position in June with a 94.3 percent on-time flight performance rate, surpassing major European aviation hubs. The average flight delay at the airport was recorded at just 3.7 minutes.
The high performance of Istanbul Airport is attributed to its efficient operational management system, advanced technological infrastructure, and the coordinated efforts of its staff.
