A delegation led by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, has arrived in Paris to participate in high-level events at UNESCO headquarters.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Culture confirmed that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and address key cultural initiatives.

During the visit, Minister Karimli is scheduled to hold meetings with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, Chairperson of the UNESCO Executive Board Nasser bin Hamad Al Hinzab, and President of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference Khondker M. Talha, alongside other senior organization officials. The delegation will also participate in an information session dedicated to the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and the 11th session of the General Assembly of States Parties to the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The discussions are expected to focus on the future of Azerbaijan-UNESCO cooperation, the protection of cultural heritage, and broader international cultural and humanitarian collaboration.

UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, plays a pivotal role in promoting international collaboration through educational, scientific, and cultural reforms. Azerbaijan has been an active member of the organization since 1992, consistently engaging in initiatives to preserve global cultural heritage and promote intercultural dialogue, notably through the Baku Process.
