The command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stationed in Iran's Khuzestan province has issued a statement regarding a recent military incident in the region.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the IRGC reported that US forces conducted airstrikes on various locations within the Khuzestan province during the morning hours.
The attack resulted in the deaths of Hossein Amuri and Saeed Tavakkulzadeh, who were serving in the ranks of the IRGC, as well as Mohsen Nejati, a member of the Basij volunteer militia forces.
It has been noted that the international community is closely monitoring the situation, awaiting further official statements and potential responses from both Iranian and US authorities.
The Khuzestan province, located in southwestern Iran, is a region of significant strategic importance due to its vast oil reserves and critical infrastructure. Tensions in the Middle East have remained elevated, with various regional actors frequently involved in escalations that draw international attention to the stability of the Persian Gulf and surrounding territories.
