A powerful storm has struck the US state of Wisconsin, causing significant damage to residential areas and critical infrastructure.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the US National Weather Service reported that the storm had a particularly severe impact on the Winnebago region. Menasha Police Chief Matt Albrecht confirmed that numerous residential homes and commercial properties sustained substantial damage during the extreme weather event.
Official reports indicate that the storm left more than 30,000 homes without electricity. State official Gordon Hintz stated that there are currently no reports of fatalities or injuries, though he cautioned that the full restoration of power supplies could take several days.
Wisconsin, located in the Upper Midwest region of the United States, is frequently subject to severe weather patterns, including thunderstorms and tornadoes, particularly during the transition between seasons.
