Authorities have declared a state of emergency in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and other states. Local government bodies have implemented significant transportation restrictions, and schools have been closed to ensure public safety. Forecasters predict that some areas could see more than 70 cm of snow, with wind speeds exceeding 30 m/s.
The logistical impact has been substantial, with 3,400 flights canceled and an additional 7,300 flights delayed across the United States yesterday.
