On July 6 and 7, Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, conducted a scheduled reception for citizens in the Lerik district.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the visit focused on both administrative oversight and direct engagement with the public.
Upon his arrival, Minister Eyvazov visited the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Lerik district, paying tribute to his memory.
Following the tribute, the Minister held a reception at the administrative building of the local Police Department. During the session, he reviewed the appeals of 348 citizens who traveled from Lerik, Lankaran, Astara, Masalli, Yardimli, and other regions to discuss various issues. To ensure the prompt resolution of these concerns in accordance with legislative requirements and to guarantee citizen satisfaction, the Minister issued specific instructions to the heads of the Ministry’s relevant main departments and divisions.
These regional receptions are a standard practice within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. They serve as a vital mechanism for maintaining transparency, strengthening the bond between law enforcement agencies and the public, and ensuring that local police departments operate efficiently and in full compliance with the law.
