"Zenit" Con Duranın transferini açıqladı

St. Petersburg's Zenit has significantly strengthened its squad during the winter transfer window. The Russian club has announced the official signing of Colombian forward Jhon Duran.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the club's official statement, that the 22-year-old forward has been acquired on loan from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

According to the agreement, Duran will compete for the St. Petersburg team until the end of the 2025/2026 season.

It should be noted that the young striker's career has been quite remarkable in recent years:

Last winter, Al-Nassr transferred him from England's Aston Villa for a fee of 77 million euros.

The player spent the first half of the current season on loan at the Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Currently continuing its preparations for the second half of the season, Zenit is scheduled to face Baltika in the Russian Premier League on February 27. The team, led by Sergey Semak, expects the new transfer to increase competition within the attacking line.

Zenit St. Petersburg, founded in 1925, is one of Russia's most successful football clubs, consistently competing at the highest levels of domestic and European football. The acquisition of Duran follows the club's strategy of integrating high-profile international talent to maintain its dominance in the Russian Premier League and prepare for future continental campaigns. The move also reflects the increasing fluidity of player transfers between European, Saudi, and Russian leagues in the current global football market.
