WUF13: Bağlanış sessiyası başladı

The joint closing session of the Assemblies is being held within the framework of the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13). According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the primary objective of the session is to synthesize the discussions held throughout the forum into a comprehensive conclusion and to establish key priorities for future action.

During the meeting, representatives from each assembly will present their core messages, proposals, and initiatives. These ideas will subsequently be consolidated to define common priorities and shared goals for sustainable urban development. The session will also address international initiatives such as the New Urban Agenda and the Baku Call to Action, with interactive discussions allowing participants to contribute directly to the formation of the final outcomes.

The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. It serves as a high-level platform to examine the most pressing issues facing the world today, including rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, and climate change. The closing session aims to unify diverse perspectives into a single direction, facilitating concrete steps in the fields of housing provision and resilient urban growth. Notably, Azerbaijan is set to host the 14th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF14) in Baku in 2026, underscoring the country's growing role in international urban policy.
