Residents and businesses in several areas of Baku's Yasamal, Narimanov, and Sabail districts will experience temporary power supply interruptions today, according to an official announcement.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Azerishig OJSC has scheduled these outages to facilitate essential maintenance, inspection, and testing of transformer stations. These measures are part of ongoing efforts to improve the quality of electricity supply and meet the increasing energy demand in the capital.

According to the schedule provided by Azerishig, power supply restrictions will be implemented as follows:

  • Yasamal District: From 10:00 to 13:00, service will be limited on Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov and Murtuza Mukhtarov streets, as well as parts of Inshaatchilar Avenue.
  • Narimanov District: From 09:00 to 13:00, interruptions are expected on Fatali Khan Khoyski, Faiq Yusifov, Aliyar Aliyev, and Yusif Vazir Chamanzaminli streets.
  • Sabail District: Due to the renewal of 6 kV power lines, service will be suspended from 09:00 to 15:00 on Murtuza Mukhtarov and Omar Faiq Nemanzadeh streets, as well as parts of Bibiheybat village.

Azerishig OJSC stated that these planned maintenance works are critical for ensuring a more reliable and high-quality power supply for subscribers in these areas. Once the technical upgrades are completed, the electricity supply will be restored to normal operations.

Azerbaijan's energy sector has been undergoing significant modernization, with state utility providers frequently conducting infrastructure upgrades to support the country's rapid urban development and growing industrial needs.
