A significant fire occurred at an elementary school in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media reports, the blaze began on Friday morning in a music room located on the fourth floor of the Takinogawa No. 3 Elementary School. The fire spread rapidly to upper floors, filling the building with thick smoke.
Numerous firefighting brigades were immediately dispatched to the scene to combat the flames. Approximately 300 students and staff members who were in the building at the time of the incident were safely evacuated.
Ten people sustained minor injuries, with the majority of the victims reportedly suffering from smoke inhalation. Footage from the scene showed firefighters entering through windows on the third and fourth floors to extinguish the fire.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire. School administration and emergency services have confirmed that the situation is now under control.
