The Office of the Authorized Representative of the President in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been granted the status of a first-category state body. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev has officially approved amendments to the Law on Civil Service to formalize this change.

Under the new regulations, the position of assistant to the Authorized Representative of the President in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been included in the list of third-classification positions. These legislative changes are set to take effect on July 1.

Furthermore, the head of state has signed a decree on additional measures to improve the activities of the presidential representative office in Nakhchivan. This decree confirms the structure of the representative office, establishing a staff limit of 55 units. The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to prepare and submit proposals within two months to align existing presidential acts with this new decree.
