The 7th summer camp for Azerbaijani diaspora youth, organized by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, has concluded in the city of Lachin. This year’s event marked a significant milestone, hosting participants from 64 countries for a week-long program focused on connecting young Azerbaijanis living abroad with their homeland.

The camp, which has become a consistent platform for engagement, provided attendees with firsthand exposure to the ongoing restoration and development efforts in the Garabagh region. The scale of the event—bringing youth from such a diverse range of nations to Lachin—underscores the commitment of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, led by Chairman Fuad Muradov, to strengthening ties between the global Azerbaijani community and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

A poignant highlight of the program was the meeting between the diaspora youth and families of martyrs. For many participants, this was their first direct interaction with the families of those who sacrificed their lives during the 44-day Patriotic War. The emotional exchange allowed the youth to gain a deeper understanding of the significance of Azerbaijan's victory and the historical weight of the liberation of Garabagh.

"Such meetings are invaluable for our diaspora," noted observers of the event. The interaction provided comfort to the families of martyrs, who witnessed the unity of the nation and the appreciation of the younger generation for their sons' sacrifices. For the diaspora youth, these moments served as a profound lesson in national identity and resilience.

The summer camp initiative is widely regarded as a crucial platform for informing the global Azerbaijani youth about the realities of the Patriotic War and the post-conflict reconstruction process. By fostering these connections, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora aims to bolster lobbying efforts and ensure that future generations remain deeply integrated with the national interests of Azerbaijan. The successful organization of such a large-scale event, involving representatives from 64 countries, demonstrates the growing capacity and influence of Azerbaijan's diaspora outreach programs.
