The Competition Commission for Private Enforcement Officers, in collaboration with the State Examination Center, has conducted a test examination for individuals seeking to qualify as private enforcement officers in Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the examination consisted of 100 questions in total. Candidates were tested on legislation relevant to the activities of private enforcement officers (60 questions), as well as their logical reasoning, general knowledge, worldview, and communication skills (40 questions).
The scoring system allocates 1 point for each legislative question and 0.5 points for each question in the other categories, with a passing score set at 55 points. A total of 94 candidates participated in the exam, and they were able to view their results immediately upon completion.
Candidates who successfully pass the test stage, as well as those exempt from the test who wish to participate in the interview, must submit the required documents within 15 business days. These documents, as outlined in section 2.3 of the rules for announcing and processing applications for the position of private enforcement officer, should be submitted to the Competition Commission for Private Enforcement Officers located at 1 Inshaatchilar Avenue, Baku, between 9:00 and 18:00.
Following a review of the submitted documents, candidates who meet the requirements established by the Law on Private Enforcement Officers will be invited to the second stage of the competition, which consists of an interview.
In Azerbaijan, the institution of private enforcement officers plays a critical role in the judicial system by facilitating the execution of court decisions and ensuring the efficiency of legal proceedings. This competitive selection process is part of the ongoing reforms within the Ministry of Justice to professionalize the legal sector and enhance the enforcement of civil and commercial judgments across the country.
