Strong winds are expected to impact Baku, the Absheron Peninsula, and several other regions across Azerbaijan from July 12 to 14.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a yellow weather warning in response to the forecasted meteorological conditions.
The forecast indicates that north-westerly winds will prevail in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula. Meanwhile, in regions including Nakhchivan, Shamkir, Ganja, Dashkasan, Goranboy, Naftalan, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Khachmaz, Tartar, Barda, Mingachevir, Hajigabul, Neftchala, Masalli, Lerik, Yardimli, Bilasuvar, and Jalilabad, easterly winds are expected. Wind speeds are projected to reach between 13.9 and 20.7 meters per second.
The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly issues such warnings to ensure public safety and to advise citizens and relevant authorities to take necessary precautions during adverse weather conditions. These alerts are part of the country's ongoing efforts to monitor climate patterns and mitigate potential risks associated with severe weather events.
