A bilateral round table featuring representatives from the civil societies of Azerbaijan and Armenia has commenced as part of the "Peace Bridge" initiative held in Armenia.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the participants will focus on the implementation of the peace agenda established during the Washington Summit on August 8, 2025. The discussions aim to address the practical steps required to foster regional stability and cooperation between the two nations.
The "Peace Bridge" initiative serves as a vital platform for track-two diplomacy, encouraging direct communication between non-governmental organizations and community leaders. This meeting follows a series of high-level diplomatic engagements supported by the international community, including US President Donald Trump, to finalize a comprehensive peace treaty. Such civil society dialogues are considered essential for building mutual trust and supporting the official peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the post-conflict period.
