European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Yerevan for an official working visit.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Armenian media reports, she was welcomed at Zvartnots International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
During her visit, von der Leyen is scheduled to hold high-level talks with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing economic cooperation, and reviewing the current state of the partnership between the European Union and Armenia.
The European Union has been actively increasing its diplomatic engagement in the South Caucasus region in recent years. These high-level visits are part of Brussels' broader strategy to deepen political and economic integration with regional partners, aiming to foster stability and promote democratic reforms through various cooperation frameworks and financial assistance programs.
