Türkiyədə narkotik əməliyyatı: 14 tanınmış şəxs saxlanıldı

Fourteen well-known figures in Turkey have been detained as part of an ongoing large-scale narcotics investigation.

According to NTV, the Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the operation has sent shockwaves through the country's entertainment industry. The list of those brought in for questioning includes prominent actors and musicians such as Emir Can Igrek, Hafsanur Sancaktutan, Somer Sivrioglu, Busra Pekin, Ahsen Eroglu, Mert Demir, Norm Ender, and Burak Deniz, along with three other individuals.

The detentions are part of a wider crackdown by Turkish law enforcement agencies targeting the use and distribution of illegal substances within the arts and media sectors. Authorities have been conducting a series of coordinated raids following a lengthy period of surveillance and intelligence gathering. The individuals involved are currently being processed as part of the judicial investigation to determine their level of involvement in the case.

This operation follows a trend of increased scrutiny on public figures in Turkey regarding narcotics legislation. In recent years, the Turkish Ministry of Interior has intensified its efforts to combat drug trafficking and substance abuse, often highlighting the influence of celebrities on public behavior. Under Turkish law, drug-related offenses carry significant legal consequences, and high-profile cases are frequently used by authorities to signal a zero-tolerance policy toward narcotics.
