Tehran has agreed not to develop or acquire nuclear weapons during negotiations aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict, according to US President Donald Trump.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the US President made these remarks during an interview with Fox News.

"The draft agreement now states that Iran will not develop or acquire nuclear weapons in any way. This is a major difference," Trump emphasized.

The US President added that the potential agreement also stipulates that the Strait of Hormuz could be opened immediately following the signing of the deal.

The nuclear issue has long been a central point of contention in international relations, particularly regarding Iran's atomic program. The Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global oil supplies, remains a strategic area of focus for US foreign policy and regional security, with negotiations often centering on ensuring freedom of navigation and non-proliferation commitments.
