English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has rejected the first official bid from Nottingham Forest for midfielder Lucas Bergvall.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from The Athletic, Nottingham Forest remains determined to secure the Swedish international and negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.
Reports indicate that the 20-year-old Bergvall has already informed the Tottenham management of his desire to leave the club during the summer transfer window. Nottingham Forest reportedly views Bergvall as a primary candidate to replace Elliot Anderson, who is preparing to move to Manchester City.
Bergvall joined Tottenham from Djurgården in 2024. During his debut season, he established himself as a key player, contributing significantly to the club's UEFA Europa League victory. However, following the appointment of head coach Roberto De Zerbi, the midfielder's playing time has seen a reduction, prompting his interest in a move.
The Swedish midfielder is also reportedly attracting interest from other Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa and Chelsea. Bergvall, who has represented Sweden at the international level, notably featured in four matches during the 2026 World Cup.
