Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has called on Turkic-speaking nations to strengthen economic cooperation and strategic partnership amid an increasingly complex geopolitical environment. Speaking at an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the President emphasized the necessity of collective action to mitigate global risks.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Tokayev highlighted the growing threats posed by armed conflicts and economic instability. "We are living in an extremely complex and unstable geopolitical period. Various threats—armed conflicts, wars, and crises—are intensifying globally and regionally. We all see the negative impact this has on the world economy," Tokayev stated. He further noted that the repercussions of the Middle East crisis are being felt by countries throughout the region, underscoring that the shared historical and spiritual roots of Turkic states serve as a foundation for deeper collaboration.

The Organization of Turkic States has recently intensified its efforts to foster regional integration, focusing on trade, transport, and energy security. Azerbaijan remains a key driver of this cooperation, frequently hosting high-level meetings and advocating for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as the Middle Corridor. This strategic alignment aims to solidify the Turkic world's position as a significant geopolitical and economic bloc in Eurasia, ensuring stability and prosperity for the member nations.
