Iranian lawmaker Fathollah Tavassoli has declared that the Tehran leadership will not retreat from its primary political course and that maintaining the 'Axis of Resistance' remains a top priority.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the parliamentarian made these remarks on Friday.
Tavassoli noted that Iran has demonstrated its strategic position through operations conducted against Israel aimed at supporting Lebanon. He emphasized that the Islamic Republic will not compromise on its core values and will not allow the 'Axis of Resistance' to be weakened. The deputy further stressed that Tehran continues to support its allies in regional policy, a stance he described as immutable.
The 'Axis of Resistance' is a geopolitical alliance led by Iran, comprising various state and non-state actors across the Middle East, including groups in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. This network serves as a central pillar of Iran's regional security strategy, designed to project influence and counter Western and Israeli interests. Tehran's continued commitment to this alliance remains a focal point of ongoing diplomatic and military tensions in the region.
