President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping will participate in the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to be held in Bishkek.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially confirmed the visit.
According to the announcement, Xi Jinping is scheduled to attend the SCO summit taking place in Bishkek from August 30 to September 3.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that during the summit, Xi Jinping will engage in discussions with leaders of member states to expand cooperation across all sectors within the SCO framework. The leaders are also expected to exchange views on pressing international and regional issues.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry had previously announced that Xi Jinping would conduct state visits to Kyrgyzstan and Egypt between August 30 and September 3.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, established in 2001, serves as a key Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance. It plays a significant role in fostering regional stability and enhancing diplomatic ties between member nations, including China, Russia, and several Central Asian states.
