Shakhtar Donetsk has reached an agreement for the transfer of young forward and winger Bruninho from the Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the news was reported by renowned sports insider Fabrizio Romano.
The 17-year-old talent is expected to join the Ukrainian side next summer. The transfer fee is reportedly set at 88 million Brazilian reals, which is approximately 12 million euros. This figure significantly exceeds the player's current market valuation of 2 million euros as listed on the Transfermarkt portal. Romano noted that Bruninho is not the only target for Shakhtar in the upcoming transfer window, as the club plans to further strengthen its squad with several new signings.
The young prospect, whose full name is Bruno Braga Ramos, has shown promising form this season. His statistics with Athletico Paranaense include:
- 17 appearances in the current season;
- 4 goals scored;
- Several appearances for the Brazilian youth national team.
Shakhtar Donetsk has a long-standing reputation for scouting and developing Brazilian talent, a strategy that has defined the club's recruitment policy for over two decades. By securing Bruninho, the club continues its tradition of investing in South American prospects to maintain its competitive edge in both domestic competitions and European tournaments. This move highlights Shakhtar's resilience and commitment to long-term growth despite the ongoing challenges faced by sports organizations in the region.
