The Welsh club TNS, the opponent of Azerbaijani football club Sabah in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, will arrive in Baku without traveling supporters.
This was confirmed to the Operative Information Center-OMM by Elnur Hamidov, head of the press service for the Baku-based club.
"TNS is scheduled to arrive in Baku on the evening of July 5. We do not anticipate any supporters traveling from Wales for this fixture," the club official stated.
The match is set to take place on July 7 at the Bank Respublika Arena, with kickoff scheduled for 20:00. The return leg is scheduled to be held in Wales on July 14.
The UEFA Conference League, established in 2021, serves as the third tier of European club football, providing clubs from smaller or emerging leagues with increased opportunities to compete in continental tournaments. For Sabah, a relatively young club in the Azerbaijan Premier League, these European fixtures represent a crucial opportunity to gain international experience and improve the country's UEFA coefficient ranking.
