The Russian Red Cross has dispatched five metric tons of humanitarian aid to Iran to support relief efforts in the country.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Pavel Savchuk, head of the organization, informed TASS that the cargo has been delivered to the Iranian Red Crescent Society. The aid package, which consists of medical supplies and basic necessities, was collected through a campaign initiated by the Dagestan regional branch and other local units with the support of government authorities.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society recently noted that more than 105,000 civilian objects in Iran sustained damage following military actions involving US and Israeli forces in late March. This humanitarian initiative reflects the ongoing cooperation between international relief agencies during periods of heightened regional tension. Under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, the geopolitical situation in the Middle East continues to draw significant international attention, with humanitarian organizations emphasizing the need for civilian protection and infrastructure support.
