The Ambassador noted that this political line is being successfully continued in all spheres by President Ilham Aliyev. Mircea Abrudean, President of the Romanian Senate, praised Heydar Aliyev as a world-renowned political figure who dedicated his life to the strengthening of Azerbaijan. He recalled his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev during his visit to Azerbaijan last year, noting that the peace established in the South Caucasus through the efforts of the Azerbaijani leadership is of great importance for Europe and Romania.
